Report available to download from the 2015 IEC Business Conference

Delegates from 29 countries attended the IEC’s Business Conference, held in Lisbon, Portugal, where the focus was very much on making eggs the most important food product in the world.

During the two days of conference sessions, delegates were addressed by a combination of high profile business leaders and world leading specialists. Speakers included: Mrs Assuncao Cristas, the Portuguese Minister of Agriculture; Dr Joy Mench reporting on the findings from the Coalition of Sustainable Egg Supply project; Dr Christianne Bruschke, Chief Veterinary Officer from The Netherlands alongside Eric Hubers speaking on working together to beat influenza.

Presenting on egg processing topics delegates heard from Amandio Santos from Portugal Foods; Sara Gibbons from Noble Egg Innovations, and Anna Richey and Alla Ouvarova of Two Chicks. Addressing issues focusing on improvement in animal care were Mark Williams, Frans van Sambeek and Peter van Horne.
