9th December 2016Top level biosecurity is critical for the European egg Industry. The Avian Influenza (AI) situation in the wild bird population in large parts of Europe is currently at a very serious level. Top level biosecurity, increased surveillance and extreme vigilance are needed to protect the commercial egg industry from infection. H5N8 is being detected in multiple countries in wild birds.

OIE Prepares International Guidelines for Laying Hens
