As the consumer goods industry continues to drive sustainability throughout the supply chain, there is an increasing need to share progress and experience amongst consumer goods companies. The publication of the Activation Toolkit is seen as a vital step in helping companies of all sizes successfully implementing the CGF sustainability resolutions.

ISO formally recognises IEC

ISO (International Organization for Standardization) has formally accepted the IEC as an A-liaison for the working group (WG) recently established to tackle the issue of animal welfare. Under the ISO terminology, an A-liaison organisation is an organisation that makes an effective contribution to the work and questions raised by a technical committee or subcommittee. A vote by ISO members is required to admit a new A-liaison organisation within an ISO working group. A-liaison organisations are given access to all relevant documentation, are invited to ISO meetings and can nominate experts to working groups.
